I already have a photographer, why do I need a videographer?

While professional photography captures high-impact, static snapshots of your event, video brings your event to life.

Here’s why adding a videographer alongside your photographer creates a complete media strategy for your event:

  • Sound Bites & Speeches: Photos can show a keynote speaker or panel on stage, but video captures their message.

  • Energy: Video captures the applause, movement, networking conversations, and buzz of a crowded exhibition floor.

  • Social Proof: Videography allows on-site interviews with attendees, speakers, and exhibitors. Hearing a real attendee share key takeaways creates far stronger social proof for future attendees than a written quote next to a still photo.

  • Algorithm-Preferred Content: Modern social platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube) heavily prioritize dynamic video clips and vertical edits.

  • Multiple Assets: A single event recording can yield multiple video edits, including sizzle reels for prospective sponsors, full-length recap videos for registered participants, and short teaser clips to drive ticket sales for next year's event.

  • Session Archiving: Keynote addresses and breakout sessions can be filmed in full and hosted online for post-event education, internal training, or paid on-demand access for remote attendees.

What types of events do you film?

We film all types of corporate meetings, events, trade shows, conferences, office parties, golf tournaments, company retreats, award shows, galas, and more!

How much coverage do I need?

Whether your event is only a few hours or a week-long company retreat, we can provide 1/2-day or full-day coverage customized to your event to capture every moment.

What sorts of “things” do you capture?

We can capture almost anything you can imagine, including event footage, attendee or customer testimonials, exhibitor interviews, keynote or educational sessions, and more!

We can coordinate with your A/V team to capture direct audio, or we can use our own microphones.

Do you offer photography services?

Best Made Videos® provides videography services only. We work with many trusted corporate photographers and can either refer them directly or add their services to our event contract.

What’s the difference between a sizzle reel and a recap video?

Sizzle Reel:

  • Purpose: Built for fast-paced promo and high-impact pitch. It captures energy, highlights the atmosphere, and generates hype, primarily used to drive future sales or impress sponsors.

  • Length: Very brief, typically 30-90 seconds.

  • Style & Content: Quick-cut editing, high-energy background music, bold graphics, and visual highlights. It focuses on mood, scale, and excitement rather than details or storytelling.

  • Primary Audience: Prospective attendees, future sponsors, stakeholders, and social media followers.

Recap Video:

  • Purpose: Tells a comprehensive visual story of the event from start to finish. It highlights key moments, keynotes, activities, and attendee sentiment.

  • Length: Moderately detailed, usually 2 to 5 minutes (or daily 1 to 2-minute updates during multi-day conventions).

  • Style & Content: Includes sound bites/b-roll, attendee interviews, snippet clips of keynote speakers, and structured narrative flow.

  • Primary Audience: Event attendees looking to relive the experience, registered participants seeking post-event recap materials, and decision-makers evaluating long-term ROI.

What kind of video do I need for my event?

We can produce all sorts of recaps, highlights, and sizzle reels from your event; we can even create multiple video types from the same event, as shown below!

Here are some of the most popular conference video types we can produce, along with examples and benefits of each:

:30-second recap/sizzle reel

A 30-second conference recap video (with or without audio) captures high-energy visuals and delivers immediate impact in silent or fast-scrolling environments.

Key Benefits:

  • Stops the Scroll Without Audio: Captures immediate attention using high-energy visuals and motion graphics on feeds where users scroll with sound muted.

  • Maximizes Engagement: Delivers the event's scale, atmosphere, and excitement in a bite-sized format that reduces viewer drop-off.

  • Versatile Platform Integration: Performs seamlessly in environments where playing loud audio is impractical or blocked by default settings.

Where Clients Use It:

  • Social Media Campaigns: Paid ads or organic posts on LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook to boost engagement and drive ticket sales.

  • Trade Show Booth Displays: Continuous loops on exhibition hall monitors to attract foot traffic in noisy convention spaces.

  • Digital Signage & Venues: Silent lobby screens, digital billboards, and event registration kiosks.

  • Email & Landing Pages: Promotional email blasts and event landing pages to quickly showcase the event experience.

2:00 min Recap/Highlights Video

A 2-minute conference recap video featuring interviews combines dynamic event footage with authentic sound bites to tell a compelling narrative, build strong social proof, and drive deeper audience engagement.

Key Benefits:

  • Builds Trust Through Social Proof: Real feedback and testimonials from speakers, attendees, and sponsors build far more credibility than marketing copy or silent visual footage alone.

  • Tells a Complete Event Narrative: Provides enough time to communicate key themes, showcase major takeaways, and capture the full energy and atmosphere of the conference from start to finish.

  • Yields Multi-Purpose Content Assets: Can be broken down into individual quote clips, speaker spotlights, and social media teasers to extend post-event marketing value.

Where Clients Use It:

  • Event Landing Pages & Websites: Embedded directly on conference registration pages as the primary showcase video to drive future ticket sales.

  • Post-Event Email Marketing: Sent to registered attendees, registrants, and email subscribers to recap event highlights and thank participants.

  • Corporate & Sponsor Presentations: Shared in pitch decks, board meetings, and sponsor debriefs to demonstrate clear ROI and secure future funding.

  • Long-Form Social Media Channels: Featured on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook, where audiences are primed to watch longer, storyline-driven content with full audio.

Event Testimonial Video

An event testimonial video features direct, authentic feedback from attendees, speakers, or sponsors to build high-trust social proof and strengthen your brand's credibility for current and future events.

Key Benefits:

  • Drives Unmatched Social Proof: Firsthand accounts and genuine enthusiasm from real attendees build trust faster and overcome sales objections better than standard marketing copy.

  • Humanizes the Event Experience: Putting real faces and voices at the forefront creates an emotional connection, making prospective attendees feel confident in the value of participating.

  • Provides Focused Marketing Clips: Short, high-impact sound bites can be easily extracted and repurposed as standalone promotional assets across various marketing channels.

Where Clients Use It:

  • Sales & Registration Pages: Positioned next to call-to-action buttons or ticket-purchasing sections to reassure prospective attendees at the point of purchase.

  • Targeted Ad Campaigns: Paid social media ads targeting potential attendees, exhibitors, or sponsors to boost conversion rates and drive registrations.

  • Sponsorship Pitch Decks: Included in sponsorship proposals and post-event impact reports to prove attendee satisfaction and secure funding for future events.

  • Nurture Email Sequences: Embedded in promotional email campaigns sent to past attendees, leads, or prospective clients to showcase key takeaways and highlight the event's value.

Event Takeaways Video

An event takeaways video highlights the core lessons, key insights, and actionable knowledge shared during speaking sessions or panel discussions at a conference.

Key Benefits:

  • Delivers Clear Educational Value: Summarizes complex topics and major session takeaways into quick, digestible insights for viewers seeking practical knowledge.

  • Extends Event Impact & Reach: Keeps the event relevant well after it ends by providing ongoing educational value to both attendees and those who couldn't attend.

  • Positions Brand as an Industry Authority: Demonstrates thought leadership and high-level expertise by featuring impactful sound bites from keynotes and subject matter experts.

Where Clients Use It:

  • Post-Event Email Recaps: Sent to attendees and registrants as a follow-up resource to reinforce key learnings and thank participants.

  • LinkedIn & Professional Networks: Shared organically on B2B platforms where audiences actively look for professional development and industry insights.

  • On-Demand Content Hubs & Blogs: Embedded within blog posts, resource libraries, or gated content hubs to capture leads and drive post-event traffic.

  • Promotional Teasers for Future Events: Used in marketing campaigns for upcoming conferences to demonstrate the tangible educational return on investment (ROI) attendees will gain.
